About Us

Kinguistics is a student-led publication, put together entirely with the efforts of students of King’s College London. The name Kinguistics comes from the primary topic of the publication – linguistics!

Within our university, Kinguistics is now officially recognized as a ratified society with the Student Union, and you can join (for free!) on our page on the KCLSU site.

The project initially began as a passion project of students of the BA English Language and Linguistics course – within the school of Education, Communication, and Society (ECS), itself within the department of Social Sciences and Public Policy (SSPP). Since then, it has grown larger than just a single course – to a society with writers, editors, and contributors of various forms.

The society wouldn’t exist at all without our student writers, editors, and contributors, so thank you to you all! Writers and editors are credited on every piece, but here you can get to know our contributor team.

An extra special bit of gratitude is extended towards the staff in the Linguistics BA and ECS, without whom the Kinguistics project likely would never have been restarted.
